In B.C. 2300’s Ebla tablets, we found Harran’s oldest name as “Haranki”. This name was used in the sense of “road, path, journey, business travel, flock and army” in Assyrian. The first temple hill of the world located near the village of Örencik. On March 24 1919 (March 7, 1919, according to some sources), Urfa was occupied by the British. The British tried to establish tribes, especially during the time they were in the area. In October, the rumors that the British occupied territories would be transferred to the French.
